Below are the directions to Manor, the best supermarket in Monthey. It has a superb selection of fresh bread, fruit, vegetables, meat and fish and of course wine! It closes at 6pm except on Friday evenings when it shuts at 9pm and is closed all day on Sunday.
Take the directions off the motorway but at the second roundabout follow the signs for Centre-ville, at the Co-Op roundabout, go right Centre-ville, over the level crossing and at the next roundabout keep following signs for Centre-ville, turn right at the T junction, right again at the next roundabout, right at the traffic lights and Manor is on the left by the Shell garage. It has an underground car park. The trolley needs a 2 Swiss franc coin and a charge is made for plastic bags in Switzerland.
Manor is situated in a small shopping mall, with amongst other shops, a good restaurant, dry cleaners and flower shop.
As you leave Manor in Monthey, go straight ahead towards the roundabout turn right then left towards Val d’illiez and Champery. On the road up to Les Crosets, just before Troistorrents, on the left, there is a modern shop La Cavagne selling local produce, which is open until 18.30 every day.
