Portes du Soleil

The Portes du Soleil from Les Crosets, winter and summer

Twelve linked resorts between Switzerland and France, from Champéry to Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets and Châtel. In winter you ski from the chalet. In summer, the Multi Pass opens the lifts and activities across the whole area.

Winter

Nearly 600 km of slopes, skis on at the foot of the chalet

The drag lift opposite the Mountain Lodge starts a few metres from the chalet: you ski to it and only take your skis off to cross the road. When the snow allows, you also ski home, right to the door.

From Les Crosets, the lifts lead to Champéry, Champoussin and Morgins on the Swiss side, and to Avoriaz on the French side. With a Portes du Soleil lift pass, the whole area is open to you from the chalet.

The twelve resorts

In France: Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Châtel, Montriond, Saint-Jean-d'Aulps, Abondance and La Chapelle-d'Abondance.

The Swiss Wall

From the Chavanette pass at 2,151 m, the run drops down the Swiss side towards Les Crosets: one kilometre of moguls, around 330 m of vertical and a pitch close to 40 degrees at the top.

Summer

470 km of trails, from the chalet to Lac Vert

From late May to mid-September, chalet guests receive the Portes du Soleil Multi Pass. It opens the summer lifts, the shuttles between resorts, swimming pools, mountain lakes and more than 70 free or discounted activities.

  • Mountain biking
The lifts carry your bike up. At the end of June, the Pass'Portes du Soleil rides around the area between France and Switzerland, with Les Crosets as one of its starting points.
  • Hiking
More than 470 km of marked trails across the area. From the village: Lac Vert and Lac de Chésery (3 hours 15 minutes on foot, 580 m of ascent) and the Pointe des Mossettes at 2,277 m, with its 360-degree view. The Mossettes chairlift, free with the Multi Pass, shortens the climb.
  • Relaxing
The chalet sauna after a hike, and the large west-facing terrace at the end of the day.
